Kitchen Keepsakes

One of a series of lithographs based on images of my late grandparents' house. They are atmospheric, grainy interior landscapes, intimate spaces with echoes of the people who lived in them. 'Kitchen Keepsakes' depicts a corner of my Grandparents' kitchen and items they kept there including a souvenir of Jamaica from my Nanna's great friend Ivan. There is an egg timer from Babbacombe in Devon, where my grandparents went on holiday every year, happy and sad times; the place where my Grandad died. Also in the image is a picture made from coloured stones and string: a children's art set that I made as a very young artist.
