The Lion is hand carved from a twenty tonne boulder of Corrennie granite. It celebrates all that is Scottish. This monumental work was the talisman of the Ronald Rae Sculpture Exhibition at Holyrood Park from 2006 till 2008, now being exhibited in St. Andrew Square Gardens, Edinburgh, on temporary loan to Essential Edinburgh.
