The focal point of the Memorial Garden at the National Coal Mining Museum for England. A monument designed as a space to remember the families and communities whose lives were affected by mining. In an ongoing process, there are twice-annual opportunities for the public to record memories into the monument by donating personalised glass checks. The checks are manufactured by Stonegate Glass Ltd.
