"Long Leash Warning "

The mixed media artwork is a newly invented warning sign post created after my experiences of cycling along a busy shared walkway shared by dog walkers.I created the sign in response to near crashes involving dogs on long retractable leads or unleashed dogs running after cyclists,The artwork is a part humorous response to the problems created by different groups sharing the same path and is not as such ,a criticism levelled at dogs but more at irresponsible dog owners.In order to be objective I also intend to create in the future, a sign warning dog walkers about careless cyclists meandering or speeding across the walkway.I am drawn to the idea of creating new , or updated signs that addresses contemporary issues relevant to the modern age.
