Lucid Space

A collaborative project with Sasha Mazur - Knyazeva. In progress site to be confirmed The key ideas underpinning this proposal are quietness, whiteness, transparency, shadow and seclusion. Within the context of the garden we are interested in constructing a series of spaces that enables the visitor to encounter a sensory experience that allows us to take a minute to reflect on our surroundings and momentarily slow us down. We are looking at using a series of light weight fabric panels making simple soft light fluid spaces that interact with the natural conditions outside and immerses the human body as you navigate through the space, Transparency is another key element within our thinking by overlapping the panels at certain points will change the quality of light and the density of translucency.
