This symbolically charged work deals with the seen and unseen, consequences, misdirections and perceptions of our most prevailant and fervently pursued concept, capital. Our self serving ever increasing worship of the god of money, Mammon.
A cigarette, perhaps the ultimate symbol of short term gain vs long term consequences.
The recycling symbol picked out in smoke, unable to even muster a mirror whilst behind it hidden in black on black the symbol of a bin sits solidly in plain view yet hidden.
It is about what we know yet dont acknowledge or have the power to change, a voyage around the ideas that will lead to our downfall, just not yet, and if we believe enough, our god wont kill us, will it?
