Photopolymer Intaglio Print on Somerset Satin 250gsm paper Edition 12 1 A/P Image size 9 x 9.5 cm The image is based o a Martin self-portrait stamp on a postcard he sent from Oz in 1997 to his friends Paul, Trevor & Lisa in Sheffield. I made the print as a memento of Martin Duffy. The edition all sold at the Celebration for Martin at the Sussex Arms, Brighton in September with all the proceeds going to the Musicians Benevolent Fund.

This print is in an edition of 12 & exhibited at the Worcester Open 2013 and the Ludlow Open 2013. It is from a series of small photopolymer etchings based on the manhole covers, hydrants and boundary boxes we pass by every day. I am interested in the geometric designs, numerals and text they display, as well as their presence as historical markers of urbanisation and as access points to the networks and infrastructure that underpin our lives.
