This painting belongs to a series exploring the night as a space of freedom. Painted on six canvases joined together, the work revolves around embodied experiences of gender beyond the binary, connected to ancestral knowledge, power dynamics, sexualisation and fear. It draws on animal and devil imagery as a claiming of the monstrous, a means of claiming freedom and desire.
