Mine Arcana

The project 'Mine Arcana' takes inspiration from Tarot and makes use of found postcards that are each chosen for imagery that resonates personally with the ideas integral to my practice. Each image is studied and worked upon, with the results incorporating a range of media and creating a dialogue between text, image and intervention. As the deck expands, the series is also allowing for an evolving visual lexicon and the opportunity to create links between responses, similar to the suits, number and court cards intrinsic to Tarot itself. My hope is that the work will act as an artefact that explores and allows insight into the motivations that drive my work and research.
