Let the light in: An introduction to Sirius Returns, its key ideas and KH's path to spiritual awakening

A performance lecture that explores the ideas and theories presented within Sirius Returns by the enigmatic author KH. The text combines a range of spiritual, pseudo-scientific and esoteric propositions into a system of belief often difficult to decode, yet distinctly subjective and ultimately uplifting in its utopian doctrine of tolerance and empathy. The reading of the book initiated a change in approach to my practice from performance and video works overtly tragi-comic and theatrical, to a method rooted more directly in the nature of learning and the potential in abstract systems of knowledge. Using a combination of vector diagrams, text and found imagery, the work attempted to feedback my research and offer further insight into the meanings hidden within the sculptural works also on show.
