mother's pride, 2024-2025

This series of pieces was named ‘mother's pride’ by another artist friend of mine.  I'm not sure if I'm keeping the title or not… What ensued was a conversation (mostly with myself) about the role of motherhood in my work. 

I've never really seen myself as making work about my experience of being a mum, more that its about the domestic. Although I now realise that the domestic is a frontman of sorts to the work; a spokesperson through which to discuss other matters.
