This is a wall mounted construction comprising of 30 forms. The total area - h 109 x w 383 x d 2.0 cm.
The size of the form ranges from the largest h 7.5 x w 13 x d 2.0cm.
The forms are created from drawings in my notebooks and then constructed from white card. This material allows me to be able to make precise knife scored curves to shape the form. The whole work explores changing natural light and shadow. Each form is carefully positioned, like a note being played, the space between each form is equivalent to silence. Some forms touch and connect to one another and some have have a red underside surface which reflects onto the wall at different times of the day. The curves imply movements and are derived from the contours of the distant hills which i can see from my studio.
