Another attempt to escape from cinnabar red [much as I love it], this is the nineteenth in a series that responds to 2000-year-old wall painting. It alludes to borders and illusive planes, openings and perspectives, even mosaic and is a response to the complex visual stimulus of Roman painting in situ.
There is a tension between what Roger Ling describes as Vorbang and Durchblick or rather “curtain“ and “view”.
