Mysteries Thirteen

By  Susan Banks 2016

Dimensions
50 x 50 x 4

Using colours derived from Roman Frescos this is thirteenth work in a series that responds to 2000-year-old painting. It alludes to illusive planes and perspectives and echoes complex and confusing layering of imaginary spaces. The painting could be categorised as a transcript or transposition. Some paintings are more difficult than others - this one was hard.
