Narcissus # 4

Narcissus # 4 plays with interacting ideas of surface, skin, mirrors and reflections. It abstracts from and makes reference to Baroque painting. It employs visual metaphors of metaphors in order to evade traditional narratives but also to provoke other meanings and connections. Subtle asymmetries and near symmetries underpin the structure of the painting whilst suggesting a reflected image.
