Near Holme, Call Your Home Poetic

'Near Holme, Call Your Home Poetic' invited all households at the new housing development of Claridge Park, Milton Keynes Village, to create a poetic and personal house name plaque. Participants were all asked these four questions: What was your previous address? Where was your favourite holiday? What was the name of your first family pet? What attracted you to Claridge Park? Taking the answers as source material to name their house, twenty residents had their unique enamel house name plaque installed, which collectively celebrate and shape the identity of this fledgling community. 'Near Holme, Call Your Home Poetic' was a public art project commissioned by MK Gallery for Broughton and Milton Keynes Parish Council and Milton Keynes Council. An exhibition documenting the project was held at MKGallery project space (5-27 October 2018) accompanied by a film and a leaflet with a critical text by curator Fiona Boundy.
