New Greig Conqueror

Celebrated by printers & compositors, the New Greig Conqueror was during its time the 'cutting edge' of paper guillotines. Robert Smails Printing Works, still houses a John Greig & sons original. Many of the volunteers supporting the Scottish National Trust property originate form the print industry. One such member recounted their first memory on entering the print works and seeing the original guillotine. The story takes pride of place in 'Tales of Smails' Chap Book.
