Nicolette's Pact

Oil on canvas 61cm x 61cm The inspiration for ‘Nicolette’s Pact’ came from a book called ‘The Vintner’s Luck’ by Elizabeth Knox. I often merge attributes of different characters and imagery from a piece of writing to capture the ‘atmosphere’ or ‘memory’ of a book rather than a literal representation.
