Notebook Galloway

I frequently cross the Irish Sea from Belfast Harbour to Cairnryan. My notebooks always come with me as the slow pace of the ferry is very suitable for live drawing of environment. The journey on by rail and coach through Galloway to Ayr provides spectacular scenery, empty of much civilisation, laying bare the hills and coast line with often wonderfully strange cloud phenomena.
