‘Ocular Gate’ 2008-09.
This was a major public art project I had with Barratt Homes of Bristol and South Gloucestershire Council in 2008. The projects’ aim was to produce a piece of work that would unite the two housing estates (1900-2009) through a collective and historical time line. The work was an amalgamation of events, historical reference and community involvement. The work being made at the Black Isle Foundry, Inverness. The new housing estate was finished in 2011 and the sculpture was gifted to South Gloucestershire council.
