Olives, Cypresses
By

2006
Method: watercolour applied to previously crumpled cartridge paper. Evocation of the remembered landscape of Southern France (Luberon, Mont Saint-Victoire), sensual as well as visual: the smell of herbs through the use of herb colour; and the warmth in the soft veiled quality of the worked paper. One of a series, the largest being 200cm x 150cm.
