Sky, sea

The text presents a sequence of images of sky and sea at night in Barcelona. Darkness is realised by reference to light sources. The moon is conjured, transposed to table level in the form of a lamp, warm, touchable: both intimacy and vastness are evoked. The haiku like texts existed independently. The installation came about because of a high glass ceilinged room, which allowed writing about the sky to be read against it. A column visually cuts the text, echoing the bisect of the writing. The right half of the near floor level text is displaced, suggesting separation and memory.
