A roughly painted sheet of card board stands propped against the wall. The paint has caused its surface to bow so that it curves away from the wall on both sides. This makes the board at once more scupltural and less stable. Placed on the floor partially in front of the board is a roughly made wooden shelf unit which when viewed frontally frames a section of the board bringing the two objects into a tenuous but dynamic relation. Both elements are rudimentary as if they are intended for some future use, this and the interaction between the elements gives the work a performative feel. The state of each element and their interplay skirts the threshold of interpretation, to challenge the viewer.
