The original artworks are now framed and installed in the public areas of the Balfour Hospital and replicas made of polished acrylic are still being installed in the Receiving Rooms (A&E) of the Balfour hospital as well as the Children's healthcare centre in Orkney.
In accordance with the GHAT brief, the artists commissioned two writers, Jen Hadfield and Lesley Glaister, to consult children and NHS staff in order to create poems and text relating to Orkney's natural heritage. Tumim & Prendergast have selected pieces of text and used stitch and photography to create these artworks pairings for the two Orkney locations.
