An installation made up of haunted upholstered edition prints, a supportive video work, leaflet with transcribed words from deceased artists, Leigh Bowery, Otto Dix and Leonora Carrington. 2022 to 2023.
A very, very hammy-theatrical - psychic spiritual medium currently going by the name of Dr Wilde Leigh works with the artist to invite deceased artists Leigh Bowery, Otto Dix and Leonora Carrington, to haunt the upholstered fabric prints. The haunted works offers a platform for deceased artists to create new works from beyond the grave. The artist has contacted several other psychics to view the haunted works to see what they can perceive.
The work intends to look at novel ways to remix art history for an ‘entertainment and lifestyle driven culture’ whilst critiquing it. The deceased artists selected have had a significant influence on the artist practice.
Medium: Eco-ruff sublimation prints, eco-foam & board, Perspex Re, fixings, Monitor with usb drive.
