Portraits of the Numinous

Drawn to honour Artemisia Gentileschi, the female Baroque painter, and reflecting on female/girl makers.... the self experiencing and portraying the numinous, the mother, creator of the daughter-creator. Portrayals of the divine - or seemingly supreme - the (real) mother, a vision of a god,... portrayals of ideals of beauty (sublime /and perhaps (not) ridiculous). It is difficult to see here, that the girl artist is portraying the dark faced god and the faint head of the mother to her the right.
