Potential Space

A layered work on cut-out paper, with charcoal, ink, wax-resist, coal, graphite, varnish on paper. Exploring the psychological, developmental concept of ‘potential space’ of D. W. Winnicott. Considering potential space through the lens of the artists' experience of sitting in the potential space between memory, location and the present lived experience.
