Procession

Residency installation at Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts, Wyoming, USA. Deer droppings and grass seeds/husks were collected and one seed/husk was placed in each dropping. The individual elements read as candles with the overall reading as the cosmos, each seed being both a light and a new world. There was also a suggestion of a procession, the passage of time, life moving through the universe as well as life cycles, seed, plant, animal, excrement, fertilizer. Made at the end of the residency this also seemed to point to the artists flowing through the residency centre, as indeed the deer also do.
