Quilted Landscape

The landscape has been made by hundreds of generations of peeopel who have handled and touched it, the traces of their gestures making what we sed. It wraps round us like a coat. It enfolds us like a blanket. These paintings are sewn from scraps of old paintings, like a patchwork quilt.
