Raw Emoticons

Five cast aluminium 'Emoticons' wall mounted in Northgate special school (part of Edgware Community Hospital). The faces were designed by pupils during workshop sessions looking at language and emotion. Starting with enlarged lettering we made collages and then nailed wood and cut foam to back boards. A selection of the 3D emoticons were then sand cast at a foundry into solid aluminium and mounted on timber before returning to the school for display. I have experience working with hard to reach children and young adults and treat each project as a unique collaboration. http://www.northgateschool.net/
