Realities Eight

Oil on deep canvas In Realities Eight beyond the evident paint there is interplay between suggestions of real and virtual space floating between abstraction and association. It is one of several responses to the complex visual stimulus of Roman painting in situ and includes a suggestion of a false door, apertures and apotropaic signs that are recurring themes.
