The temporary tideline installation was assembled at South Beach ,Whitehaven in West Cumbria in September 2019.The main focus of the artwork was to focus attention on the unending amount of plastic washed up on the beaches of West Cumbria and to highlight the plight of maritime environments under threat of environmental degradation.I found a traffic cone and a large orange ball and adhered bottle lids onto the surfaces and assembled the creation to resemble a giant ice cream cone which itself is a reference to plastic found in ice cream. The artwork also fits in with the general seaside theme and was dismantled after photography where the key components would be reused for further investigation into continued creative possibilities.
