DESERT FRAGMENTS This collection draws on sketches, colour notes, photos and memory of a journey through northern Arizona in 2009. Each a digital print on to a unique collage of layered paper, silk and recycled fragments. The pieces have a waxed surface are mounted by being stitched on to PVC board which allows them to be left unglazed. Printed by the artist using Abaca paper, Habotai silk and Epson Ultrachrome Pigmented Inks. Panels : Each panel is waxed, then sewn on to PVC board and backed on to similar board, eliminating the need for glass.

Books about red: These books draw on environments which are almost surreal in colour. In particular the iron pools of Iceland, canyons of Arizona and the ocre quarries of Provence. Different reds are juxtaposed and overlaid - using crayon, acrylic, digital colour, thread. The sensuality of red is exploited both through the visual intensity of the hue and through the tactile surface of the p
