Red Icon is one of a series of pendants which use Playplax squares as the main component.
Playplax , a construction toy designed by Patrick Rylands in 1966, consists of transparent coloured squares of polystyrene which interlock.
We had boxes of Playplax at my primary school I remember loving the jewel like colours and the way you could hold it to you eye and see the world change colour.
