RED WEDGE – scaffold

By Sheila Ravnkilde 1998
I installed a 4 metre high red Scaffold Wedge in Wirksworth, as part of the Art and Architecture Trail, in the old salt tip area. The work was only going to be there for 2 – 3 weeks and needed to be able to be put up and taken down relatively easily. A local firm sponsored my project by loaning me the scaffold for that period of time. I painted the scaffold tubes with one layer of red paint before assembling, adding a second coat after the structure was complete.
