Remnants

By  Ann Goddard 2025

'Remnants’ is a miniature freestanding sculpture constructed from a range of diverse materials left over from my previous art works. It is an addition to my collections of miniature assemblages and juxtapositions. I'm thrilled that it has been selected to be part of the Internationale d’Art Miniature (IAM) exhibition in Levis, Quebec, Canada, June 22nd - August 31st 2025.

The assemblage evolved intuitively by juxtaposing elements with contrasting properties and textures: recycled tin, deconstructed corrugated cardboard, ink, emulsion paint, bristles, wire, secured with a nut and bolt. Environmental considerations informed the recycling and reusing of these components, reflecting a conscious approach to sustainability within artistic practice.
