A series of four stainless steel sculptures of leaping, running and boxing hares traversing the undulating landscape of a new park at the entrance to the city of Salisbury in Wiltshire, UK. This public art was commissioned by Persimmon Homes and celebrates the local legend of the Salisbury Dancing Hare.
In these sculptures gestural, scribbly sketches made in the field are developed into larger than life 3d drawings in steel, capturing glimpses of fleeting moments. The open nature of the fluid steel lines incorporate the changing skies and landscape into each piece.
