Sandpaper: Adelaide Labille-Guiard

"What a man this woman is", Portalis, 1901 Labille-Guiard was widely regarded in her day and was one of the first female artists to be admitted to the French Academy of Art. She campaigned to no avail for more women to be admitted into the academy and was a committed mentor to her female pupils.
