'Scarfed' - A method of joining two timbers together by a diagonal line.
Inspired by recent experiences Sailing on the Firth of Clyde, around Rothesay Bay, into Gare Loch and Cumbrae. The work is a response to the extreme weather and exhilarating conditions that occurred, in particular sailing through the night. The spontaneous nature of these paintings relates to the impressions left by an exciting, quixotic and colourful time.
