Sculptural Display Case

This interactive display case was commissioned for Buxton Museum and Art Gallery to display a hoard of tiny 13th century coins. My design takes elements from the faces of the coins, blown up to show details more clearly and stacked in a 'tumbling pile'. The coins themselves are displayed in one of the units, which has a large, rotating magnifying glass which can be positioned over each coin for a closer view.
