'Sediment' 2016

By  Pippa Eason 2016
'Sediment' was part of an exhibition made for a residency at Florence Arts Centre. The piece is made from polystyrene, cling film, and Egremont Red (Iron Ore) from Florence Mine itself. I wanted to play on the ideas of artworks being delivered to galleries in their vulnerable state, wrapped, ready to be birthed into the space. I also took considerations of material integrity, defamiliarising the truth of the object.
