Sentinels Firehoses : Rosebank

I began noticing the design and symbolic appeal of firehoses some time ago at an old concert hall and have been photographing them whenever possible. This is one of my best: neglected and possibly useless, it stands on the platform of the suburban railway station where I used to live in Cape Town. Sentinels of civilisation.
