"Seven Green Bottles " is a photograph of a mixed media temporary installation arranged on a wooden groyne at St Bees beach in West Cumbria. The bottles are all household cleaning agents that were washed up on the tideline and collected over the course of a few weeks. The bottles were embossed with warning logos relevant to the product but I enlarged the images. The intention was to highlight the inherent toxic nature of the chemicals displayed on warning signs too small for most people to notice and of the dangers to maritime ecosystems.
