Shifting Cell 4

Dimensions
45 cms x 45 cms approx

Wall Construction. Wood made from reclaimed wood and acrylic paints this piece belongs to the 'shifting Cell' series. i was partly inspired by the book 'Finding the Mother Tree' by Suzanne Simard, a Canadian scientist and forester. She discovers a hidden network of roots under the forest floor which is occupied by miniscule fungi cells, which carry water and nutrients to the trees. there is a sense of layers upon layers and doors within doors in the structure of the hidden forest system. At present my work focuses upon the hidden forces within nature.
