This was a piece which emerged by playing with the song “Somewhere over the Rainbow”. The first 10 seconds or so of the song were slowed and stretched to breaking point until the sound begain to disintegrate. Each sonic glitch was then matched to an edit of a coloured screen ( a reference to the ‘rainbow’). It was intended to be shown large scale in physical space but in fact the first outing was actually in the VR work “We are only partly Real” with Michelle Marie Forrest. It was actually Michelle that suggested working with “the wizard of Oz”. It's around 13 mins long but here its looped to 26 mins or thereabouts.
