Inspired by a Victorian tipping table-chair, the design of this piece protects the colourful image that serves as a backdrop for the chair from the ravages of the weather. With the seatback locked down, the piece becomes a mini-stage but also comes with a honeycomb pattern and hexagonal blackboard tiles that allow the maths teacher to use it for tesselation lessons.
Made using local, sustainable sweet chestnut and galv steel feet that ensure longevity and with a flower pattern that came out of workshops with both the students and teachers (and was voted on by the whole school in possibly the best assembly session ever)
