'Strand' solo show Ferens Gallery, Hull, March/May 2000. A series of works based on the interface of land and sea. Each comprises several hundred photo fragments collected at various stages of tide, North Yorkshire coast. Strand represents the evasive line of the interface of land and sea and is as much about photography as it is about the forces of nature. The meeting of opacity and translucency, the fluid and the static.
