The beginnings of a new series of works. 'Bands' represents the contemporary and living in the present day.
I painted colour bands loosely and spontaneously, they feel fresh and intentional on top of the warm browns and stitched canvas collage underneath. These primary and secondary colours feel joyful and present a rhythmic quality.
