Sun Burst

Permanent artwork for St Catherine's School. Sun Burst is part of a series of sculptures that explores colour, light and perception. The position of each thread is based upon a map of the stars. Creating volume and mass from individual lines, the concerns are contradicting themes of simplicity and complexity, what is seen and unseen. Walking around this installation we are invited to reflect upon these themes and offered a moment of stillness in this busy environment.
