Synapses (Edition of four)

Inspired by my piece for the British Glass Biennale 'Teenage Landscape', Synapses are representations of 'thought'. The connections between the coloured points on the central fused and painted roundel represent synapses - the pathways in the brain. Teenagers have more synapses than adults. Framed glass applique with fused and painted central roundel. Fitted with hanging chain, The edition number is indicated by the number of painted dots on the edge of the central roundel on each panel.
